The Data

This data is very insightful to our project because, upon using the function to find the best-fit line for the scatter plot, we found that there was no evidence of the age of a cluster and its diameter having a positive correlation. The slope of the best-fit line ended up having a negative slope. Looking at this plot, it is safe to say that our hypothesis was incorrect. That being said, it is also likely that our justification is also inaccurate. An alternate explanation for this is that the older the cluster, the smaller the diameter, since the stars are being pulled toward each other from gravity.

NOTE: The first scatter plot shows the angular diameter  while the second scatter plot shows the actual diameter.
