Procedure:
Search Milky Way Project data set for information on star clusters. This data should include the age of each star cluster and the diameter of the star cluster.
Create two separate sets of data for globular clusters and open clusters.
Use the ages and the corresponding diameter to plot each point on a line graph. Make one graph for globular clusters and one graph for open clusters.
Use a function to create a best fit line for the graph to determine the relationship between the age of a cluster and its diameter
One of the challenges we expect to encounter is having to figure out if a cluster is globular or open. We also expect to have difficulty finding a large set of data for our data analysis.
First things first, you need to have good teamwork skills, so that you can work together with your team better. Also, you to have good typing skills to keep up with the rest of the group. Which will also help you in the future as well.
We are interested in seeing the patterns and relationship between the age of the cluster and the diameter and mass of it. We hope to find that the diameter of the cluster be bigger if the age of the star cluster is older through our plots of the milky way project data.
